This course and assessment help to use technology to create a presentation. I had to create a PowerPoint presentation providing an overview of anxiety disorders, specifically phobias and social anxiety. For this submission, you will need to create your introduction slide, content slides focused specifically on anxiety disorders and phobias, and a reference slide that includes at least three references you plan to use in your presentation. In this submission, I had to provide as much detail as you can (such as in the Notes section) for the anxiety disorder overview and phobias portion of this presentation.. During this course and assessment, I had to create a flyer that would be distributed in the workplace to inform employees about the factors that can affect them in the workplace. The flyer had to contain three important dimensions relevant to the workplace culture and climate in a specific type of organization. I had to think about the culture and climate as a whole and what it means within the specific workplace, I selected which is wound care, the assignment called for the workplace you currently work. This course and assessment were used to apply theory and research to the understanding of employee motivation and satisfaction and analyze how this research and theory can be used to better one’s own or others’ performance. The case studies looked at future trends and challenges in healthcare. As a healthcare manager I need to inform the corporate executives of how I would keep informed of health trends and how I might manage the emerging challenges in for the clinic. This course and assessment help to identify the factors that influence health care costs and evaluate the methods employed to control costs. I had to use excel spreadsheet for a Neurology Department’s first-quarter budget. On the excel spreadsheet I entered the department expenses in the correct category or area. Some of the areas were entering in the check number, amount and the type of expense such as rent, utilities or office supplies. After completing the spread sheet, I have recommended opportunities to reduce waste and cut costs and two different strategies that will be implemented to improve overall finance for the department in the second quarter. This course and assessment allowed me to demonstrate skills needed to analyze the effectiveness of communications with others in regard to one’s interpersonal goals. Synthesize and evaluate communication strategies and processes in interpersonal and small group situations. The group debate (was in an assigned group by my instructor) required me to review a case student and within my small group come up with decision-making strategies that would benefit the individuals in the case study This course and assessment were used to apply theory and research to the understanding of employee motivation and satisfaction and analyze how this research and theory can be used to better one’s own or others’ performance. I have not completed all assignments in this course because it is a current course I am taking, however, the assignments for this portfolio project are continuum care essay where I will compare and contrast the difference among nursing care, subacute and post-acute care, assisting living, and examining how all can be incorporated into a retirement community. The leadership essay will examine my present0day strengths and capabilities as they relate to having an executive position in a long-term care continuum. This course and assessment provided the skill to create a system and individual performance strategies and coaching behaviors that foster improvement in today’s business environment. In the essay, as a manager I had to a scenario that deals with the performance of employees on a team. As the manager of the team, I had to complete a report to the boss that reflects how elements of my performance management system can get the team on the right track for performance excellence. I had to provide strategies to use and need coaching and present your recommendations. This course and assessment define healthcare compliance, identify fraud and abuse laws, and differentiate between error and fraud in financial reporting. I was given the task to train a new employee in the finance department, first I had to explain the role, and explain how the department functions with the rest of the corporation. I had to explain the difference between fraud and abuse and provide at least three examples of each in healthcare finance as well as explain how these instances occur. I also had to explain the steps to make the department complaint. This course and assessment required me to define, explore, and summarize evidence and family-based therapeutic practices. The treatment plan had to include emphasis on family relationships, parenting the Eight interlocking concepts of Bowen’s Family Systems Theory, domestic abuse, violence and/or neglect issues. In the scenario provided, I had to how the first session would go with the subject of the scenario, detailing how to build trust, respect and be non-judgmental, what specific interventions the subject would benefit from, described three of the basic listening skills such as closed questions, open questions, paraphrasing, reflection and summarization.
