I used to hold another leadership position in my previous trimester which was T2 Liaison which was a great opportunity to get engaged with everyone in the board as well as with my cohort.
Strating my diabetes patient care this trimester was great as it made me feel more confident and connected with others who hold positions like heart patient care and women’s health etc.
I cannot wait to make more events and apply more knowledge and help others with/without diabetes about how important their health is, this would be done by making in person events and sharing and general information about diabetes and tips for healthy lifestyle.
I am excited to hold this position til next year.
During Professionalism milestone, I learned how to effectively build experience and skills as a student pharmacist, we were taught many things about how to succeed in pharmacy school and after (future pharmacists). I remember when I learned about being professional that it doesn’t only mean to be skilled or to have so much knowledge but also to be thoughtful, respectful, and caring about others (staff, patients, doctors, etc.) because without these components you are not a good or complete pharmacist. I also learned that asking for help from others when needed or even simple questions makes a huge difference and makes you learn faster and better.
I love the word “professional or professionalism” and I like the fact that I am becoming one. Workshops and sessions about how to be involved and be part of this word are so helpful and meaningful for myself and of course for others as well.
