CompTIA Simulations I have completed various CompTIA simulations that provided hands-on experience in key areas of IT. These simulations covered essential topics such as network security, hardware troubleshooting, and operating system management. The CompTIA simulations helped me develop practical skills and a deeper understanding of IT concepts, preparing me for real-world scenarios and certification exams.
TestOut Lab Simulations The TestOut Lab simulations offered an immersive learning experience, allowing me to practice and apply my knowledge in a virtual environment. These labs included simulations for networking, cybersecurity, and system administration. Through TestOut Lab, I gained valuable experience in configuring and managing network devices, securing systems, and troubleshooting technical issues. The interactive nature of these simulations enhanced my problem-solving abilities and technical proficiency.

Program/Institutional Outcome Met:
Effectively communicate with end users, managers, and peers of a technical and non-technical nature.

This assignment explains how to manage Organizational Units (OUs), user accounts, and groups using the Active Directory Users and Computers console. It also defines what Group Policy and Account Lockout Policy entails. I go into exact detail as to how to accomplish each of these tasks. |
Design and administer networks through installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and securing network hardware and software components.

For this assignment, I constructed a PowerPoint entailing what IP addresses and Subnetting are defined as and how to distribute them in a hypothetical setting. It also includes the routing protocols used in this setting. |
Use information technology to apply logical, legal, and ethical principles in performing industry related tasks or projects in a global systems environment.

Program & Institutional Outcome Met:
Demonstrate the ability to translate technical information into business language to meet organizational needs.

To accomplish this particular outcome, I designed a plan to install a new wireless system on our college campus. I broke down the equipment to use and the price of the proposed project. I used written and visuals for how to place the WAP.
Program/Institutional Outcome Met:
Research, identify, evaluate, recommend, and specify components of complete systems relative to hardware/software needs of an enterprise.

Writing this research paper was very exciting. I explored the different aspects of Smart Grids on a global scale. I communicated my findings about the history, future, and global impact of these Grids in potential terms of success versus failure. |
