Final Project powerpoint
Technology 100 Project (.pptx) 12.32mbI’m currently a student at Bryant & Stratton College majoring in Networking Technology. After I graduate, I plan on moving forward in computers and obtaining my bachelor’s then Master’s in Computer Science. I’m interested in pursuing a career in software engineering for video game companies.
1) Computer programming is important towards my career goal because it’s one of the essentials to know when creating any type of program. Through school and earning my bachelor’s degree, I can learn this skill.
2) Having knowledge and experience with gaming programs and consoles will make it easier for me to know what people look for when I create a program for a video game. Without this knowledge, it would be close to impossible to reach my career goal.
3) In order to be completely successful in my career, I will need to be comfortable with building software. In Bryant & Stratton and wherever I choose to complete my bachelor’s, I can gain this knowledge.
4) Having hands-on experience like an internship would aid me the most as I work towards my career goal. It’s important for me to complete the internship because it’s the closest I’ll be to my actual career choose so it’ll make it easier for me to understand what I am to do to be successful there.
5) Although being up to date on new computer tools and language isn’t extremely important, it would help me talk to my co-workers or even my employer understand what I do. Researching and keeping in contact with my fellow classmates in the same major would help me strengthen this skill.
6) Creativity is one of the basic skills but probably the most important in my career path. Everyone has ideas but mine need to be eye-catching and entertaining or I wouldn’t be doing my job correctly. As I go through school, jotting my ideas and discussing with other people would help me build on this skill.
