Assist in process of welcoming, interviewing, and answering questions for potential PharmD candidates.
- Narcotic Coordinator duties (Former 2017-2019): kept inventory, dispensed, and maintained closed-loop transactions among controlled commercial and compounded medications throughout the hospital. This included weekly and monthly auditing of 4 in-house pharmacies (Main, OR, Pediatrics, Outpatient Pavilion).
- Special Projects:
- Helped implement a secure tubing system to the MICU pilot program.
- Helped implement narcotic I.V. to pole lockbox system throughout the hospital.
- Participated in formulary transition meetings and implemented narcotic changes to the pyxis CII safe during the Advocate/Aurora merger.
- Developed basic training informational/schedule sheet to guide pharmacists and lead technicians for use of the Pyxis CII Safe system.
- Trained various coworkers/managers (Pharmacists, Technicians, and eventually the current replacement narcotics technicians).
- Special Projects:
- Automation Team Technician duties (2016-Current): work closely with pharmacists, technicians, and various hospital staff as a team to supply, restock, and refill in-patient medications throughout the hospital.
- Train new employees in various automation positions.
- Participate in various pharmacy activities such as:
- Pharmacy fundraising and volunteer events (contests, bake sales, raffles, walks, BedsPlus homeless shelter [make/bring/serve dinner, bring various donated clothing and hygiene items, help set up bedding for the night].
- Special Projects/Opportunities:
- Collaborated and reconstituted doses for administration in the first wave roll-out of the Pfizer/BioNTech mRNA COVID vaccines to hospital staff. December 2020.
- UPCOMING: collaborate and reconstitute doses for administration in a mass COVID vaccine clinic at the nearby EMS Acadamy in Oak Lawn (February 2021).
- Assisted pharmacists and patients in the various stages of processing prescription medications and diabetes supplies.
- Special duties:
- Assisted in various flu clinics, managed in-house pharmacy supply needs, trained new employees.
- This location also collaborated with Good Samaritan Hospital/Social Workers to provide free 10-day medication supplies for discharged patients.

COVID-19 Vaccine Candidates November 2020 (.pdf) 0.24mbAt a local CVS, provided patrons with information about Breast Cancer, risks factors and how to reduce modifiable risks. Also raised donations for a sister organization that provides for Breast Cancer patient/survivor needs.
At a local community church, helped provide people experiencing homelessness with clothing/hygiene products, settup up sleeping arrangements for the night (within the church rec center), and prepared/provided dinner and dessert.
