- I will choose 3 disease states that interest me and summarize the treatment options that we discussed as well as the disease state itself by the end of the summer.

- I will write down one thing that needs to be done that week and get it done by the end of the week by dedicating 2 hours to that specific task for the fall semester.

Goals (Personal & Professional):
I will study 3 over the over-the-counter drugs each week and do a mock counseling session with my preceptor over those specific drugs every week.

I will be assertive and ask for feedback, and will take constructive criticism and write at least 5 ways that I can improve every week.

Goals (Personal & Professional):
By the end of my first year I will improve my drug knowledge by learning new counseling points for at least 10 medications each time I go to rotations. 

I will improve my social skills by taking initiative and counseling at least 1 patient on each rotation.

My Bio:
Kyla Barnes is a P2 Pharmacy student at the Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy located at UT Tyler. She graduated with her Associate's Degree in General Studies in high school by going to night classes and then graduated high school in 2021. She is very hard-working and determined and always does her best to help out in any way she can. She is encouraged every day by her husband, and in her free time, she likes going on walks and playing with her cats.
