Write Reflection Here:: I. Description During my IPPE community rotation at CVS, I was actively involved in administering flu vaccines to patients. It was a particularly busy period due to flu season, and I was responsible for verifying patient information, explaining the immunization process, administering the vaccine, and documenting the details afterward. It was my first time giving vaccines directly, so the experience was fast-paced and hands-on. II. Feelings I experienced a mix of excitement and nervousness. I was thrilled to take on such a significant role in patient care, but I also felt a bit anxious due to the responsibility of ensuring each step was done correctly. As I became more comfortable with the process, the anxiety faded, and I felt more confident in my ability to deliver quality care to patients. III. Evaluation I view this experience as very positive. Being able to administer vaccines and help patients protect their health was extremely fulfilling. It gave me practical experience that solidified my understanding of patient interactions, vaccine administration, and accurate documentation in a busy pharmacy setting like CVS. IV. Analysis I felt this way because the experience allowed me to directly apply the skills I've been learning and contribute meaningfully to patient health. Initially, I felt some nervousness because of the high level of responsibility, but as I saw the results of clear communication and careful preparation, I gained confidence and found the process rewarding. V. Conclusion/Action Based on this experience, I plan to continue refining my vaccination and patient communication skills by seeking more opportunities to immunize. I've learned the importance of staying calm and organized, especially during busy periods, and will focus on improving my multitasking abilities to provide efficient patient care in future rotations at CVS and beyond.
