In the current field that I am in I am around all sorts of different cultures. I think that everyones cultural background is something that is interesting to learn about and also is very good to know about so that you can show every person respect. Making people feel comfortable is something that needs to happen on a regular basis.

Goals that I am setting for myself is to always rememeber to do something that I love to do. Always try my best, to keep going to college to earn a bachleors or masters in my major. I also would like to get my social work assistant certificate in the mean time as well as a assistant in substance abuse as well.

For college I did get a grant for my 4.0 gpa. I was able to get this because of alot of hard work and determination.

My name is Lauren Yuravak. I am a wife and mother of two. My kids and my husband are my entire world. College is something that I have always wanted to do but never did. I live in a little town in Valley City, Ohio where I spend most of my time taking care of my kids because my husband works alot of hours. I grew up a town over from where I settled down and that town is called Litchfield. Small hometown feels are what I enjoy. I went to a really small school where the graduating class was 170 kids, and I always wanted my kids to go there as well. They both attend the school that me and my husband both went to. My husband and I are high school sweet hearts. 

I started to go back to college to persue an degree that I was passionate about. I have been a buisness owner/ salon owner for many years and in the beauty industry for 14 years. I decided to change careers because I had always wanted to go into this field but being a young single mom it was not in the cards. Here I am starting to persue the dreams that I have had. I would love to persue a career with something to do with Substance abuse. Substance abuse is something that has hit very close to home with me and I think there are so many people with problems with substance abuse and not enough people that know how to treat them or talk to them. I will continue to get my certifcations that I can use in order to pursue this career even if I dont have the degree that will allow it. The certifications will help me to get into a place that I would like to be at for a long time.

When it comes to computers I love working with them. Computers have always been a strong spot for me and I did take a computer class in high school as well as one in college. Computers are there to make your life easier and be able to have more access in order to do your job more efficiantly as well as open up different means of communication.
