Write Reflection Here:: I enjoyed doing compounding for the first time as I didn't have the pharmaceutics 2 lab first semester. Basically, I converted omeprazole into a liquid form for a medication order. I enjoyed doing it as it reminded me of the chemistry classes I did in undergrad, I also was happy to have the experience as it should prepare me for the pharmaceutics II lab that I am taking late September. I felt like I did pretty good job the first time, as the pharmacist didn't say anything was wrong with the medication made and approved it, but he did give me some tips on how to be cleaner with it, and to make it more pharmaceutically elegant. In other words, he told me the correct way to attach labels and how to avoid getting medication on the syringes by adding a stopper. When I take my pharmaceutics lab this September, I will make sure that all my products are made with proper elegance, so I can succeed in the class.

What are admitting privileges? Admitting privilege is the right of a healthcare practitioner, by virtue of membership as a hospital's medical staff, to admit patients to a particular hospital or medical center for providing specific diagnostic or therapeutic services to such patient in that hospital. Each hospital maintains a list of health care providers who have admitting privileges in that hospital. Admitting privileges of some physicians may be limited to consultative services only.
