My Bio: Kiana Herring
I am a 26-year-old female from Washington, DC. I always knew I wanted to work in the healthcare field. However, just recently did I found the passion for medical coding. I always intended to work physically with patients, but after doing that for a couple of years, the burnout just didn't seem worth it to me, along with the back problems I began to develop.
The current career path I am on still allows me to help patients as I always envisioned myself doing, but I will just be doing it behind the scenes now and not so much in person.

Within the next two years, I  have four goals I really want to achieve.
1. Graduate from Bryant& Stratton with my degree in med. reimbursement & coding
2. Pass the CCA exam and become certified
3. Settle into my career
4. Learn how to relax
I listed number 4 because this year has been a tremendous mental struggle, and it's starting to take a toll on my body. I can't sit and be present in the moment; my mind is constantly racing so for the New year I really hope to find peace.
