My Bio: Alea Anthony
My Bio
My name is Alea Anthony, and I am a third-year student pharmacist at the Cedarville University School of Pharmacy. During my time as a student, I have gained valuable experience working with Walgreens as an intern and with my school’s faculty as a research assistant. I have also served on executive boards for our APhA-ASP and SNPhA chapters as well as my cohort’s class council. Through these experiences, I have expanded my interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills and have grown my desire to practice as a clinical pharmacist. I plan to complete a PGY1 and PGY2 residency program with a focus in either oncology pharmacy or psychiatry pharmacy to become a specialized clinician. Outside of pharmacy school, I enjoy going to the gym, reading, and spending time with family and friends. I am excited for the future and am looking forward to contributing to the lives of my patients.
Goals (Personal & Professional): Alea Anthony
Short-term Goals
  • I will begin a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency after graduation to build my clinical skills and explore areas of practice to pursue in a PGY2 program.
  • I will begin a PGY2 pharmacy practice residency after completing a PGY1 program to become a specialized clinician who can serve patients effectively.
  • I will pursue a balance between my work and personal lives throughout my residency experiences and the beginning of my career by heeding the Lord’s guidance and engaging in discipleship efforts with other believers.
Goals (Personal & Professional): Alea Anthony
Long-term Goals
  • I will practice pharmacy as a specialized clinician in five years in whichever space God has determined for me.
  • I will pursue leadership opportunities in my practice setting and in state and national pharmacy organizations when I obtain a clinical position after my PGY2 program.
  • I will serve my community, specifically through mental health awareness efforts, by partnering with local organizations and healthcare providers throughout my residency experiences and in my clinical position within the next ten years.
