Hello! My name is Alexis Hughee, and I am passionate about supporting children’s growth and development. I am currently pursuing a Diploma in Early Childhood Education at Bryant & Stratton College, with an expected graduation date of 2026. I graduated from Estill High School in 2015 and have since dedicated myself to gaining hands-on experience through volunteering and community activities.
My journey into early childhood education has been driven by a desire to make a positive impact on young people. I believe in creating nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environments that foster curiosity and independence. Outside of my studies, I enjoy traveling, exploring different cultures, and participating in community service projects.
My goal is to become a skilled and compassionate early childhood educator who can support children and families effectively. I am committed to continuous learning and professional growth to ensure I provide the best care and education possible.
Personal Goals:
- Develop stronger leadership and communication skills by participating in team-based volunteer activities and workshops by December 2025.
- Maintain a healthy work-life balance by setting weekly schedules and dedicating at least one weekend each month to personal growth and wellness activities.
- Enhance cultural awareness by engaging in community events and completing a multicultural education training program by June 2026.
Professional Goals:
- Graduate from Bryant & Stratton College with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education by May 2025.
- Obtain early childhood education certification and secure a full-time position in a childcare or educational setting by September 2025.
- Develop and implement a classroom project that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth in young children by the end of my first teaching year (June 2026).
- Pursue continuing education courses in child development and behavior management to stay current with best practices, completing at least two courses annually starting in 2026.
