Art has always been a way for me to learn more about myself and the world around me. It was how I healed myself after facing numerous obstacles in my teenage years. It was also how I expressed myself as a person. The more I drew the more curious I became of people. That is where my passion for science came from. I love drawing people and my dedication to getting better at this fueled my curiosity about anatomy. It got me largely interested in biology and the human body. My passion for science has always led me to believe that a career in the medical field would be best for me. Pharmacy specifically called out to me because what pharmacists do and experience while serving their communities is what I had always dreamt of doing as well. They talk to patients with compassion and empathy and always have to continuously learn as the field of science ever evolves. It lines with my values of learning, community, and service. My goal is to be a pharmacist who will understand people better while playing a more active role in the lives of my patients than just offering the right treatment. The vision that I have for the future of pharmacy practice is a healthier future with pharmacists working together to continue developing more effective and affordable medications. I will be a part of that vision as a dedicated student who can learn, grow, and use the knowledge attained to aid people in improving their health and well-being. For me, pharmacy is a path in which I can explore my interests and continue learning more about the world and people around me. It challenges me to always learn and become the best person I can be.

My includer and developer strengths came from my childhood experiences and not wanting others to feel left out. These strengths brought focus to the areas of myself I should hone and how I should approach my classes and professional life in the future. Through empathizing and working with others I can achieve my goals faster, make decisions with confidence, and help those around me flourish.
