Reflection: During one of my APPE rotations I had the opportunity to vaccinate many people from the community. It was a very humbling experience. Many people had questions about the new covid booster bivalent vaccine, so I provided them with that information. It was a pleasure and joy to educate the community on the new booster vaccine variant. I described how the new booster had the monovalent and the newer variant within the vaccine. I explained how the original booster only had one strain of covid and that the new one had two- hence the bivalent. With this information that I provided to the various patients they were relieved and happy to get vaccinated. Many people also had questions about the flu shot as well. Some people from the community were not too sure if they were allowed to get both. I told them they could and the criteria of them not being able too. As I was vaccinated the patients asked me more questions about covid and other pharmacy related questions which I answered to the best of my knowledge. When I was unsure about a question I doubled checked my information with my preceptor.
