My Bio: Carolyn Lesley
I am in what I like to call my "Second Act".  I have raised by daughter and son, they both now have families of their own.  I have recently moved from the one place I had been my entire life, to start completely over, literally.  It is quite an interesting journey but one that I am truly enjoying and love getting to spend more time with my son and his family. 

I have 8 grandchildren; 7 boys and 1 girl.  They are absolutely the lights of my life, my little Wee Angels as I call them.  It is so fun to see their personalities develop and sometimes how different they all are, and sometimes you can see all the family traits that are being carried on, which are awesome! 

I have worked in the medical field my entire life and love every aspect of it.  I have been a medical transcriptionist, a certified nursing assistant, a massage therapist (and still am), and now I am going to school for an Associates Degree in Medical Reimbursement & Coding.  I am ready to be a more "behind the scenes" person and enjoy the challenge and variety of aspects this field of healthcare offers.

Graduated from Abilene High School in Abilene TX in May 1980.

Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX from 1982-1983, did not graduate.

Texas State Technical College in Abilene, TX from 2008-2009.  I graduated with a certification in Massage Therapy.  

Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo, NY from 2019 to 2021 graduated with a degree in Medical Billing and Coding.

Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo, NY from 2021 to present, studying Medical Reimbursement & Coding, graduation tentatively set for December 2022.

Goals (Personal & Professional): Carolyn Lesley
My personal goals include getting a great job to where I can afford a house of my own, get a newer and more dependable vehicle, being able to go see my daughter and her family in North Carolina a lot more often, being healthier and in the best shape of my life!

My professional goals include searching for that great job, learning as much as I possibly can, and eventually going back to school in a couple of years to hopefully get certified in a coding specialty.  I am planning on applying myself to the fullest, so that I know all the ins-and-outs of being a medical reimbursement and coder like the back of my hand.  I also want to be able to keep up with all the changes that are constantly being made in all aspects of this field in healthcare.

I graduated from Texas State Technical College in Abilene TX in May 2009 with a degree in Massage Therapy.  I have been a massage therapist since this time.  I enjoy helping others and hoping to relieve their stress levels!
