My goal is to become a Case Manager in Human Social Services, I have came from working in manufracting physical work at Amazon and being a machine operator for over 20 yrs to now going back to school at Bryant & Stratton to become a Social Worker, when I started at Bryant Stratton I was unsure of what I wanted to do but I knew that I wanted to work with children with mental issues and adolecent children. I already had an associate degree in paralegal, because I thought that I wanted to have a career in law, but what was tugging on my heart was helping families with different situations that people face everyday. I knew that I wanted to work with children but I want to work with special needs children and families so I started with Human Social services at Bryant & Stratton to pertain my bachelor's degree and while working to pertain my degree, I started working part time in a group home with individuals with mental health issues as well as physical health issues as I worked in this field I realized that this is what I wanted to do so I decided to work full time in this field while working to pertain my degree and now my main goal is to become a therapist so I will be continuing my education to seek my Masters in counseling that is my goal. I thank Bryant & Stratton for giving me the tools to get to where I want to be in my career, because if it wasent for this school I would not have thought of seeking out jobs in my field of study I would still be in a physical manufacturing job .

My name is Meredith Long I started Bryant & Stratton Sep 2019 I'm currently persuing my bachelors degree in Human Social Services I will be graduating in 2023 I have an associates in Paralegal, I am currently working in In-Home services which I take care of a client by supporting him with his living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and hygene. I want to become a case manager with my degree so that I can help client's more than what I am doing. My long-term goal is to become a counselor for mental health so I can help people to overcome their obsticles in mental health where they can live independantly with their issues and to be able to manage.
