All of these that I have listed are my goals in life, not just personal but also professional. I make it a goal of mine to make sure I do the things that make me happy.
My name is Marcia Flowers, and I am currently a Case Manager for a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center. I am a student at Bryant & Stratton College, where I will be graduating with my degree in Applied Science. I want to continue my career in substance abuse, so having my degree will be very beneficial. After I am finished with my degree, I would like to go on to get my Master's degree in Social Work eventually. With my seven years of experience in the field, I will provide my knowledge and skillset of active listening and patience to help clients overcome addiction. I also have personal experience with overcoming addiction with having eight years of sobriety, so being able to relate to clients may also be beneficial. I feel that I would be an excellent fit for the job as a substance abuse counselor because I have the drive and passion for making a difference in helping people. I want people struggling with addiction to know that they are not alone and have me in their corner to support them on their journey of recovery. The reason you should care is that everyone's life matters. Providing individuals with the best counselor to help them overcome their addiction will help spread the word in the community for help with the top-of-the-line treatment. What I want from you would be to give me fifteen minutes of your time, so I can share with you how much having the job would mean to be. I want to show you everything that I have accomplished and how I can also help your agency grow.
