In 2013 I started in the medical field at an assisted living place near my home helping the elderly and memory care residents with daily living needs and passing out medications and doing wound cares. Then after a bad accident I had to stop doing that and move into the billing department with that same company for past few years. That part of my job is where I really wanted to end up. So now I am going to school to get my degree in the field of billing and coding.

About me!
I grew up in a small country town in Minnesota, graduated from high school in 1996. I had my oldest daughter when I was 17 and still finished high school. I got married a few years later and had my youngest daughter. I got divorced 8 years later and raised both my kids on my own. It was not an easy thing to do, but I did it while working. In 2008 I decided to go for a Vet Tech, but had to quit to help my mom take care of my dad. I had put my wants on hold for many years to take care of my family. Did not finish my time in DBU for personal reasons, I am on track to get my degree in Billing and Coding at Bryant & Stratton College in February of 2024.
Get job I have been striving for
For many years I have been working in the medical field, which started in the animal medical field for about 5 years at a local animal shelter, then transferred into the Medical Assistant program. I had taken time off to be home with kids. I have worked in the human medical field for about 10 years caring for the elderly then moved into the billing department for the past 3 years. Now I am finally doing what I wanted to do for myself, get my degree in something that challenges me everyday.
