This assignment focused on leading an end-to-end product discovery process to identify a meaningful user problem and translate it into a validated minimum viable product (MVP). The project began with defining a target user segment—young professionals experiencing burnout—and designing a mixed-method research plan that included user interviews, surveys, and secondary market research. Insights from the research were synthesized into personas, user journeys, and clearly articulated pain points, with a strong emphasis on identifying problems worth solving rather than jumping to solutions.
Based on the research findings, a focused problem statement and product vision were developed, outlining the value proposition and intended user outcomes. Key assumptions were documented and prioritized by risk, informing the scope of the MVP. The MVP definition included core features mapped to user needs, explicit out-of-scope decisions, and success metrics aligned with a North Star goal. To validate the product direction, the assignment proposed a series of low-cost experiments, including usability testing and engagement metrics tracking.
This project demonstrates skills in user-centered thinking, structured problem-solving, and product decision-making under constraints, while highlighting the ability to balance strategic vision with practical execution.
