Personal goals would be buying a home (even if it needs work)., paying off all my debt by the time I turn 40 which will consist of me managing my money better, learning to care for myself in order to take care of my family the way they deserve to be cared for. This would consider more self care and taking time for me, I am always looking out for others therefore I need to learn to slow down sometimes and take care of me so that way I can continue to do what I love, taking care of those that need me.
Professional goals would consist of wanting to foster children of all ages and abilities/disabilities. Earning my masters degree in family counseling, opening a center for the youth so they have a safe place to go to if needed and give them the resources they need and benefit from.
I have worked in a private nursing home taking care of the elderly for 2 years. I truly enjoyed making sure their daily needs were met such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and distributing their medication. This was a very rewarding job for me in the time I was there. When I left that job I went on to work in hospitality, this job was so much fun for me. I was a barmaid for 8 years until the covid-19 pandemic hit. I then decided to relocate to Alabama and found a desire to work with intellectually disabled adults. This job was rewarding to me as well. I was able to become MAC certified and I also was able to get my CPR training here as well. While working with the disabled I tended to their every day needs which included bathing, cooking, cleaning, distribute medication, and enjoy the fun times like vacations, going for rides, shopping, hair, and so much more.
