My Bio: Carrie Moore
Who is Carrie R Moore?

My name is Carrie R Moore, and I am 47 years old, a mother of 3 and 2 step kids. Also, I have six grandchildren. If you had told me five years ago, I would be graduating with an Associate's degree in Human and Social Services; I would have laughed at you. Why, you ask? 7.5 years ago, I was an addict, and life itself didn't exist for me other than addiction. Well, here I am today with an associate's degree in Human and Social Services and continuing with my Bachelor's Degree with a degree in Science in Counseling with an Emphasis on Addiction, Chemical Dependency, and Substance Abuse. I want to help those who don't think they can overcome addiction/control their mental illness and show them that hard work and determination can do anything. A degree in counseling was not my first choice when I started my college journey, though I feel this career has chosen me. I always enjoyed helping others regardless of what their problems were. I was there for them, so I am today, doing what the universe has set forth for me to do!

Other Accomplishments: Carrie Moore
Proud Moments
I had a goal set for myself to work at the same AODA facility I was at when I was suffering from addiction, and I could accomplish that goal. I was promoted from Resident Assistant to Program Coordinator within two months of working at Genesis Behavioral Services.
