Vincent Flores is a second year pharmacy student attending the Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology at UT Tyler. Vincent worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at the East Texas Medical Center in which he received a certification in National Sterile Compounding Training. During his employment at ETMC duties while employed at ETMC was the delivery of prescriptions and the sterile compounding of Intravenous drugs including hazardous chemotherapy medications for IV therapy for the oncology department. He is also a sterile compounding technician in a Long Term Care pharmacy compounding IV therapy medications for nursing facilities across Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

As an aspiring pharmacist, Vincent`s primary focus is on patient safety and well-being and providing great healthcare at the forefront of his medical career and values understanding through community efforts. He is currently a member of the Texas Pharmacy Association as well as the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacist and an active contributor of his graduating class. His favorite hobbies include cooking, wood carving and options derivatives.

2021 SMART GOALS

1. I want to be able to learn more about renal disorders and infectious diseases every week. I will use all available resources available to me such as making flashcards and sudent resources provided by the school in order to learn and retain new knowledge materials.

2. I will make sure to prepare for the yearly PCOA by going over a section every week and dissecting the subjects in order to understand it better.
