My Bio: Kelly M. Jones
My Biography
I graduated from Bryant & Stratton College in August 2025 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Human and Social Services. My objective is to utilize this degree to pursue a career as a substance abuse counselor and mental health professional. I possess several years of experience in the field of substance abuse treatment, encompassing a range of responsibilities from facilitating patients' admissions and discharge processes to conducting comprehensive searches of personal belongings to ensure that contraband is not introduced into the facility. Additionally, I actively monitor patients' behaviors and am skilled in de-escalating emotionally charged situations. I meticulously document and communicate patients' behavioral patterns and medical needs across all relevant departments.
I have instructed new employees in the use of various computer systems, ensuring that they acquire the necessary skills for documentation and are familiar with the appropriate departments to contact regarding any behavioral or medical concerns about patients undergoing treatment. I evaluated new employees on their ability to complete safety rounds promptly. I confirmed that they comprehended the significance of monitoring their units to ensure the safety and well-being of patients while also fostering an environment conducive to recovery.
