My name is Madison Searcy, and I am currently pursuing my Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education at Bryant & Stratton College. I am passionate about supporting young children's growth and development and look forward to building a career where I can make a positive difference in their lives. My long-term goal is to work in early childhood education and continue growing professionally as I gain experience in the field.

Outside of school, I am a proud wife and mother to my wonderful two-year-old son, and my husband and I are excited to be welcoming another baby soon. I also serve in the Virginia Army National Guard as an 88M Motor Transport Operator, where I have developed valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and adaptability. Balancing my family, military service, and education has strengthened my work ethic and determination, and I am excited to bring those qualities into my future career as an early childhood educator.

Short-Term Goals

• Graduate with my degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Obtain a position as a preschool teacher or teacher assistant where I can apply what I have learned in the classroom.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and coworkers while creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Continue expanding my knowledge of child development, classroom management, and observation and assessment practices.

Long-Term Goals

• Earn my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education to continue advancing my career.
• Become a lead teacher and eventually work toward becoming an Early Childhood Center Director.
• Create learning environments that encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through developmentally appropriate practices.
• Continue serving my community by advocating for high-quality early childhood education and supporting families in helping their children succeed.

• Continue creating a loving, stable, and supportive home for my growing family while maintaining a healthy balance between family, school, and work.
• Graduate from Bryant & Stratton College with my Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education.
• Continue developing my leadership, communication, and time management skills through my military service and professional experiences.
• Be a positive role model for my children by showing them the value of education, perseverance, and hard work.
• Maintain a mindset of lifelong learning by continuing to build new skills and knowledge throughout my career.
