My name is Juanita Toro, I'm a Colombian living in Tampa, Fl. I have a beautiful daughter, Luciana, she is a 10 year old precious girl, she is my everything. I have a bachelors degree in marketing and advertisement and now I'm so excited studying my paralegal degree. My hobbies go from reading to movies, dancing and spending quality time with my daughter and husband. I come from a big family so I really enjoy cooking for them and showing my love and appreciation through delicious food.
I've being working now for almost two years as an event and banquet manager for a huge hotel brand and I'm recognize for being always on time, respectful and team player, goal focused and caring for everyone in my surroundings. I'm very good at planning and using my time, try to always have a schedule and when possible follow it. I'm always willing to find a solution to overcome any problem that can appear. Also, I love to study and learn different things not only from books, articles or school but always believe that every person that comes into my life, for long or short time, has something to teach as well as learn something from me.
As my professional goals, I'm studying to be a paralegal but my major goal is to be an attorney so after completing my paralegal degree, I plan to start my law degree. This is one of the biggest dreams I've had and been able to fulfill it is a huge satisfaction for me and the example for my daughter to pursue her dreams. With my paralegal degree completed, I want to work for criminal attorney or a civil law firm to get more knowledge from professionals in the subject as I study to become an attorney.
An advice I would give to my younger self, is the same I give every day to my daughter: dream big, don't be afraid of your dreams and always pursuit them. There is nothing impossible if you believe in yourself!
