CPD Plan Management: PLANNING: Hamad Jalal AL-Mubarak
CPD Plan Management: PLANNING
Hello, my name is Hamad Jalal AL Mubarak I am 20 years old and I live in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia
I chose to pursue a pharmacy major for various reasons.
1. Interest in healthcare: I am drawn to pharmacy because they have a strong interest in healthcare and want to contribute to the well-being of others. Pharmacy offers an opportunity to directly impact patient care and play a crucial role in the safe and effective use of medications.

2. Desire to help others: Pharmacy provides a platform to help patients by providing medication counseling, answering their questions, and ensuring they understand how to take their medications properly. This aspect of patient care appeals to me I have a genuine desire to help others.

3. Science and healthcare combination: Pharmacy combines elements of science, such as pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences, with healthcare practice. I have an interest in both science and healthcare and may find pharmacy to be an ideal career choice that allows me to bridge these two fields.

4. Job prospects and stability: Pharmacy is a profession with strong job prospects and stability. With an aging population and an increasing demand for healthcare services, the need for pharmacists is expected to grow.

5. Career options and flexibility: Pharmacy offers a variety of career paths and settings. Pharmacists can work in community pharmacies, hospitals, research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, academia, and more.

 6. Financial considerations: Pharmacy is known to be a financially rewarding profession. Pharmacists often earn competitive salaries and have opportunities for career advancement and higher income potential.

LEVEL 5 REFLECTION
In my opinion, the fifth level in pharmacy was a pivotal stage in my academic journey. It was filled with challenges that tested my abilities, but it also offered numerous opportunities for growth and development. The obstacles were undoubtedly significant, but with determination and perseverance, I managed to overcome them, making every achievement feel like a substantial step toward my professional aspirations.

This level stood out for its vast amount of in-depth and specialized information, which required extra focus and effort to grasp. Despite the complexity, I found myself deeply engaged in the learning process, realizing the value of this knowledge in shaping me as a future pharmacist.

As for the academic workload, it was undoubtedly demanding, with numerous assignments and tasks to complete. However, through effective time management and organization, I adapted to these requirements and executed my responsibilities to the best of my ability. It was a constant challenge, yet it also provided a valuable opportunity to refine my academic and personal skills.

To be honest, I consider the fifth level to be a turning point—not just because it enriched my knowledge in the field of pharmacy, but also because it prepared me for the next stages of my academic and professional journey.

CPD Plan Management: REFLECTION
Pharmacy is an essential and respected field within the healthcare industry. Pharmacists play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. They are responsible for dispensing prescription medications, providing medication counseling to patients, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Pharmacy education typically involves completing a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program, which is a professional degree program that prepares individuals to become licensed pharmacists. During their education, pharmacy students learn about various aspects of pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, patient care, and medication management.

Pharmacy practice can be divided into different levels or specialties, including community pharmacy (retail pharmacy), hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical industry, and research. Each level has its own unique challenges and opportunities.

First-level pharmacy, often referred to as community pharmacy or retail pharmacy, involves working in a community-based setting, such as a retail pharmacy chain or independent pharmacy. Pharmacists in this setting interact directly with patients, dispense medications, provide medication counseling, and offer over-the-counter product recommendations. They may also provide immunizations, health screenings, and basic healthcare advice.

First-level pharmacy can be rewarding as it allows pharmacists to directly interact with patients and positively impact their health outcomes. It requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid knowledge of medications and their uses. However, it also comes with challenges, such as managing high prescription volumes, dealing with insurance issues, and handling patient concerns or emergencies.

In conclusion, first-level pharmacy, or community pharmacy, is an important and valuable part of the healthcare system. Pharmacists in this setting play a crucial role in providing medications, counseling patients, and promoting overall wellness.
