Throughout my 4 years of experience working in a fast-paced, inpatient psychiatric/recovery facility in which I oversee the physical and mental well-being of over 40 patients daily and in my practicum experiences, I have practiced the value of ‘People Matter’ by ensuring that everything I do is done with the utmost care and empathy. My daily goal is always to go above and beyond in the care that I provide to the patients and families that I serve.
My skills include:
• Collaborating closely with 20+ team members and various departments to ensure that care was delivered to the highest possible standards and exceeded organizational requirements with Physicians and the Treatment Team, including patient and family
• Conducting examinations, determining the diagnosis, treatment planning
• Providing education to patients and family about illness prevention and processes
• Administering medication and provide patient education regarding medication administration
• Accessing central lines such as porta-caths
• Administer IV fluids and intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections
• Performing various venipuncture procedures to obtain laboratory test results
• Delivering oxygen therapy to patients; Operate feeding pumps and CADD pumps
• Preparing timely and accurate documentation regarding patient care
