My name is Ebony Fowler, and I am graduating with an Associate of Applied Science in Healthcare Administration from Bryant & Stratton College. Throughout my educational journey, I have developed strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while balancing my academic responsibilities with a full-time career in healthcare. My experience as a Social Service Assistant has strengthened my passion for improving patient care, advocating for residents, and supporting interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
As I continue my professional journey, my goal is to advance into a healthcare leadership role where I can make a positive impact on patients, staff, and healthcare organizations. This ePortfolio highlights my academic achievements, professional growth, and the knowledge and skills I have gained throughout my program.
I earned my high school diploma and am graduating from Bryant & Stratton College with an Associate of Applied Science in Healthcare Administration. Throughout my education, I have developed strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills while balancing my academic responsibilities with a full-time career in healthcare. My educational journey has prepared me to continue growing professionally and pursue leadership opportunities within the healthcare field.
I am actively working to revamp our Social Services Department by improving documentation practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and creating more organized, consistent processes. My responsibilities include reviewing and updating social service documentation, strengthening care planning, improving communication with the interdisciplinary team, and helping ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centered care. This project has strengthened my leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and healthcare administration skills while supporting continuous quality improvement within the facility.
My personal goal is to continue growing as a leader while maintaining a healthy balance between my career, family, and personal development. I believe that lifelong learning and perseverance are essential to achieving success.
Professionally, my goal is to continue advancing in healthcare leadership. After earning my Associate of Applied Science in Healthcare Administration, I plan to pursue additional education and continue developing my skills in healthcare management. I aspire to become a healthcare administrator where I can improve patient care, support staff, and help healthcare organizations provide quality services to the communities they serve.
Recognized on the Honor Roll for two consecutive semesters at Bryant & Stratton College in recognition of strong academic performance, dedication, and commitment to excellence while pursuing my Healthcare Administration degree.
I have had the opportunity to travel to several destinations throughout the United States and internationally, broadening my cultural awareness and appreciation for diverse communities. My travels include Niagara Falls (U.S. and Canada), Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Playa del Carmen (Mexico), Washington, D.C., Texas, Canada, and Dubai (United Arab Emirates). These experiences have enhanced my adaptability, communication skills, and understanding of different cultures, which are valuable in healthcare and healthcare administration.
