- Short-term: Graduate from the University of Findlay with my PharmD. Also, pass both the NAPLEX +MPJE exam on my first attempts.

Description: During this rotation I was able to work in an outpatient hospital setting alongside other pharmacists and technicians. My daily activities included filling medications, counseling patients, completing patient profile transfers, interacting with physicians/nurses about patient medications, and solving patient insurance problems. My best work for the month was a topic discussion I did with my preceptor over Guillain-Barré Syndrome.
Site: Premier Health Miami Valley North, Englewood, Ohio
Description: During this rotation I was able to participate in point of care warfarin management. My daily activities included taking patients INR, counseling patients over their warfarin, and making clinical decisions pertaining to their warfarin management. I also completed my final SOAP notes for the year as well as my business plan. My month-long assignment given to me by my preceptor was to work on creating a study guide for the Certified Anticoagulation Provider Exam. My best work for the month of March was my business plan.
Site: Remedi Senior Care, Troy, Ohio
Description: During this rotation I was able to shadow and work alongside multiple consultant pharmacists at different LTCF. My daily tasks included reviewing vancomycin and aminoglycoside dosing orders, clarifying prescriptions, and working on solo projects. Projects that were assigned to me at the beginning of the month included creating a PPI handout for nurses at facilities and also presenting a PowerPoint reviewing medications used in diabetes for pharmacists. My best work for the month was my presentation over diabetes medications.

Site: Premier Health Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio
Description: During this rotation I rounded with the ICU medical team and attended AMS rounds every MWF. My daily tasks included working up patients in the morning and providing recommendations at rounds. I was also in charge of completing vancomycin dosing, warfarin dosing, and IV to PO changes for any patients on my list. I worked alongside my preceptor to create and present an SBAR over buccal misoprostol to the leadership committee at Premier Health. My best work for the month was my case presentation over Osteomyelitis.

Site: Premier Health/Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio
Description: During this rotation I rounded with two different internal medicine teams made up of medical students, residents, and attendings. My daily tasks included working up patients in the morning and providing recommendations at rounds if I had any changes. I presented a topic discussion over acute kidney injury (AKI) to my preceptor. Towards the beginning of the month, I had the opportunity to travel over to Miami Valley South and present about COPD medications to pulmonary rehabilitation patients. Finally, I was able to complete three SOAP notes over infectious disease, hypertension, and neurology. My best work for the month was a presentation over AKI.

Site: Ohio Health Riverside Methodist Hospital
Description: During this rotation I rounded with multiple different infectious disease physicians and pharmacists. The rotation was split up into antimicrobial stewardship for two weeks and rounding with infectious disease physician the other two. My preceptor and I would have antibiotic class reviews every morning along with topic discussion two times a week. I completed assignments such as a patient case presentation and a MUE over caspofungin alongside a resident. My best work this month was my patient case presentation over a patient with MSSA bacteremia.

Site: Dayton Children's Hospital
Description: During this rotation I rounded with multiple medical teams such as PICU, 3W Blue, and 3W Red. My daily activities included working up patients and presenting them to my preceptor before rounds. Weekly topic discussions with the preceptor over topics in pediatrics. such as status epilepticus, pharmacokinetics, and patient care. Completing assignments such as a journal club, SOAP note, creating pharmacy technician assessments, creating a drug/food interaction excel sheet for the hospital's Epic. My best work this month was my journal club presentation over Nirsevimab for RSV prevention in healthy late-preterm and term infants.

Site: Premier Health/Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio
Description: During this rotation I rounded with the CICU team which included a pharmacist, attending physician, and a medical resident. My daily activities included working up patients before rounds, participating in daily topic discussions, counseling discharge patients on their medications, and working on other assignments. At various points throughout the month, I was able to attend Pharmacy Grand Rounds, Heart Failure Conferences, and Cardiology Case Conferences. I was also given the opportunity to counsel patients about their medications at the Miami Valley South Cardiac Rehabilitations Center. My best work during this rotation was assisting Dr. Nathan Stockman in creating a drug class monograph over thiazides for the P&T committee in November.

Site: Premier Health/Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio
Description: During this rotation I attended many traumas, stroke alerts, AMIs, and codes. My daily activities included reviewing urine culture & STD results, drawing up medications at bedside, counseling patients over the phone about various results, and making antibiotic recommendations to PAs. My preceptor and I had about 3 topic discussions per week over various ED related topics. My best work during this rotation was a topic discussion over hyponatremia that was led by me.

During the Spring 2022 semester I completed my IPPE hours at the Findlay Walgreens. My preceptor was Courtney Reynolds. I completed tasks such as administering vaccinations, filling prescriptions, and communicating with providers over the phone.
During the Fall 2021 semester I completed my IPPEs at Scarbough Pharmacy. My preceptor was Carrie Scarbrough-Sampson. I was faced with tasks such as filling prescriptions, speaking over the phone with physicians, compounding medications, and more. I enjoyed my time at their site and would recommend to anyone interested!
Over the duration of this course I have memorized about 40 drugs, attained my BBP and FWA certifications, and also have partaken in a medication adherence project. There is much more I could list, but these are the main takeaways I had from this course.
