About me.
Hello, my name is Melissa Odom and I am currently a returning graduate enrolled at Brant & Stratton College {online} where I am in my last semester working towards my Hospitality management degree. I will graduate in 02/2022 with a degree in hospitality management again with a 4.0 GPA and remain on the Dean's List. I recently graduated from BSC with my hospitality assistant diploma with a 4.0 GPA and was the Dean's List recipient. I have twenty-plus years in the hospitality industry and couldn't imagine working in any other. I am a hard-working conscientious and flexible person who can either work on my own or as part of a team. I have chosen a career in hospitality because I enjoy interacting with other people, I like serving customers, and I enjoy the challenges that come with the role.

My professional goal is to use my degree in Hospitality Management and make my dream of owning a small Italian restaurant. By owning a restaurant I would be able to continue my passion for cooking as an executive chef and be able to step away and run my restaurant when I need or want to.

Cultural background
I have a thick Italian cultural background in my family. A lot of the food that I prepare is Italian cuisine. My Italian cultural runs in my blood, not my life. The little I am familiar with I love and appreciate tremendously.
