Healthcare in the Community
In my time coming to Rochester I have come to notice and appreciate the volume of healthcare and community outreach services I did not realize was possible. Numerous organizations exist within individual communities, offering a variety of care and options for said care. Additionally, there is a population of locally-grown activists that encourage the development of community resources.
There is a vibrant and energetic community of those wanting to improve the livelihoods of their neighbors that should not be overlooked as someone in a field of healthcare. On my path to becoming a certified Medical Assistant I feel I must take similar sentiments and knowledge of grassroots organizations to the professional healthcare world.
