I grew up in the central part of Washington State in a small town. I am an avid hiker and participated in sports from age 4 to 19. After attending West Valley High school in Yakima, WA, I furthered my education by attending Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA. While at EWU I participated in outdoor recreational activities that included; hiking, kayaking, dog sledding, and camping. After 4 years at EWU, I graduated with honors with Bachelors of Art in Recreational Therapy. I sat for my certification exam in recreational therapy and was a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist in 2016. I moved to Arizona the same year and became a physical and occupational therapy technician for one year. I then used my certification by accepting a job at the Arizona State Hospital working as a Recreational Therapist. After working one year at the state hospital, I was accepted into Northern Arizona Unversities, occupational therapy program in Phoenix, Arizona.
