I volunteer my time at one of the local SPCA to help out around the facilty by cleaning the cat cages, litter boxes emptying and putting new littler in the litter boxes, doing dishes, give the cats fresh food and water, stock the food and other supplies from the barn where the extra supplies are. Help out with the staff with any other duties. At this time when I was volunteering I also Had my 12 year old daughter helping so there was no other way to help on the dog side since my daughter had to be a certain age to go over. Love working with the aniamls and the community when they need assistance only can volunteer on my time off from working my full time job.
