I have been an intern at Arch Street Pharmacy since the winter of 2019-2020.
Greeted and escorted visitors and walk-in patients in a professional manner. I Coordinated all activities and room assignments as directed by manager
I plan to take full advantage of the opportunity that the APPEs provide. I am currently in a fluctuating place where I think I might know in which direction I want my career to go but am still determined to be open to various opportunities. APPEs are the perfect opportunity not only gain clinical knowledge but also to explore the various fields that a recipient of a Pharm. D. may pursue.
Part of my pharmacy practice experience provided by my school. During the internship I was able to observe and learn about various clinical pharmacy fields, including but not limited to NICU, CICU, joint replacement. I was also able to learn about the more technical parts of clinical pharmacy when I compiled and organized the pharmacy's manufacturing records. Overall, it was a very insightful and educational experience.
Part of my pharmacy practice experience was provided by my school. During this rotation, I was able to immerse myself in a community setting pharmacy practice. It was incredible to see how the pharmacists have adjusted to a job that requires incredible efficiency and speed to complete the job demanded. During my time at Walgreens, I had the chance to interact with patients and discuss their drug regimens.

This license confirms the completion of The ACPE 20 hour practice-based continuing pharmay education program which prepares pharmacist to immunize patients.
Immunization License (.jpeg) 0.08mbThis license is granted by the State of Connecticut until September 2023.
Connecticut Intern License (.aspx) 2.97mbDue to the Allied Health class in high school, I quickly fell in love with the pharmacy and knew that it was what I wanted to do as a career. When choosing what college to apply to I wanted to be safe and apply to six, all of which had pharmacy programs. The only one I really wanted to attend was UConn due to its excellent pharmacy program.
For the first year I wanted the full college experience and lived on campus. While I am grateful for my year on campus and the friendships and connections it allowed me to form, I felt that living off campus provided less of a financial burden which I desired. Throughout my time at college, I have taken part in various clubs and groups, the most significant of which is PDC, a professional pharmaceutical fraternity. During my 5 years in PDC I have managed to hold two leadership positions which not only strengthened my connection with the other members but have also helped me to improve my communication, networking and planning skills.
While in pharmacy school I have continued to fall in love with pharmacy and the variety of careers at are possible with a Pharm. D. During my time in school, I have been determined to keep an open mind to all the opportunities that my education and future degree will provide. However, I am currently leaning towards a career in clinical pharmacy. During my IPPE at St. Francis Hospital I enjoyed seeing how much the pharmacist enjoy their jobs and how rewarding they found it. I also appreciate how the pharmacists rotate their positions so that their lives are never monotonous.
with the new semester my eyes have been open more than ever to all the possibilities that A diploma in Pharmacy can bring with it, and How vast opportunities are. I am more than ever committed to considering all avenues at the pharmacy profession has and I am excited about learning more throughout my APPEs.
I atteneded Hall High School where I took mostly upper level classes, along with many that were ECE (early college experiance) elegible. During high school I was not much of a sport person but I was passionate about the variety of clubs which I took part in; the most significant of which was Multi-Cultural Club (MCC), which I led as president for two years. During my time in MCC I healed lead and organize a multi-cultural show which displayed the spectrum of diversity at my school, by doing so I greatly improved my organizational, leadership and communication skills.
During high school I was fortunate to have a chance to not only experiance college level courses in biology and chemistry, but I also had the chance to take an Allied Health course which educated me on variety of careers in the medical field. The class opened my eyes to the world of pharmacy, it is due to the class that I ever looked into pharmacy as a career.
I was born in Ukraine on April 17, 1999 and lived there for the first 7 years of my life untill my family won the Green Card Visa and moved to America in 2006. Since then I have lived in West Hartford, Connecticut with my parents. When we moved here none of us really knew any English and because it was easier for me to learn I ended up helping my parents learn it. When I was 12 my parents had their second child, my sister, who I helped take care of and raise.
During 2021 I worked on a CE for the UConn School of Pharmacy which is going to be published early 2022.
