My name is Kevin Griffith and I am currently a Junior at St Mary's High School. I have attended St Mary’s since the seventh grade and career goal is to become a veterinarian. I plan on going to college in the Boston area (preferably Boston University), then attending  veterinary school. I grew up in southern New Hampshire and enjoy lacrosse and playing the violin.  

I have attended St Mary's Academy since the seventh grade.

I currently play Lacrosse for The St Mary’s varsity team and was named team captain for the 2013 season. My preferred position is attack.

I currently play lacrosse for the Piedmont Lacrosse Club traveling team. This is a private traveling club that competes throughout New England.

I am very proficient with Gmail (St Mary’s chosen email platform) and help assist new students in setting up and managing their email accounts.

I consider myself an expert at Powerpoint and creating Powerpoint presentations.

I am very good at MedCred and managing my electronic portfolio. I have been appointed "Portfolio Class Lead" which means I have instructed other students on how to build and maintain their MedCred portfolios.

I am experienced in all Google Docs applications:  Documents, Presentations, Spreadsheets, Forms, and Drawing. St Mary's operates on the Google Docs and Gmail platforms.

Violin isn't just an instrument to me, it means everything to me. The violin is a special talent that I have and few people can play it or will dedicate the time to learning it. When I am feeling down or just need to let off some steam, playing the violin will always make me feel better. I have been playing the violin since I was five and my private instructor has been Mrs. Hendricks since 2010. Below is my favorite quote.

The National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) are the nation's premier organizations established to recognize outstanding high school and middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NHS and NJHS serve to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character (and Citizenship for NJHS). These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings in 1921 and 1929.

The National Honor Society is an organization that was developed to acknowledge high school students who have exemplified themselves in four characteristics : Character, Service, Leadership, and Scholarship. Unlike an ordinary honor roll, NHS is a national organization that promotes academic excellence and service to one's community and high school.

Once a month, I volunteer at Wellpont. I assist the residents with anything they need help with and sometimes we bring in animals from the Piedmont Animal Shelter. 

I vounteer every other Saturday at Piedmint animal shelter. I clean cages, excersise the animals, and give the animals baths. I enjoy working with dogs the most.

I would like to travel abroad to Spain (Barcelona or Madrid) for a semester while I am in college. I have been taking Spanish since the seventh grade and I have never received anything less than a B+ in any of my Spanish classes.

I have been speaking Hindi my entire life and while at home, my family frequently converses in Hindi to maintain our skills. Hindi is the most commonly spoken dialect in India and I would like to travel to India some day.
